When customers place their order, the items they select are based on the inventory of the store listed in the app. Shopping at that location helps make sure that they get everything they need. In many cases, it's also the closest store to their delivery address, which will help you save time when delivering and help you keep temperature-sensitive items from spoiling.
Additionally, store-specific items may be requested for an order and shopping at the specified store will help ensure these items are available for the customer.
Customers also have the option to select their preferred Target store location when placing an order. If you claim an order with a preferred store location, a yellow star will appear underneath the store address in the Order Progress section of the Order Details screen.
